This is a quick update that is most crucial for anyone in Florida north of Vero Beach. Radar imagery and available observations indicate a rather potent area of low pressure is developing. It appears this tropical-like low will make landfall around Cape Canaveral in the next few hours, then try to get back towards the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. I’m hoping the Hurricane Center will have an update soon. Winds are already gusting over 40 knots or 46 mph.

Expect very heavy rain and gusty E-NE winds as this makes landfall tonight. I’ll try to update tomorrow with the eventual evolution of this very complicated pattern that is developing. Spoiler alert. . .more rain, less cold for many.
